Dot NET Domains
When the Dot NET universal top-level extension was first introduced in 1985, along with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure organizations. Because of the fact that there were no particular requirements about the usage of the top-level extension, though, dot NET domains were booked and used for diverse purposes and by quite a few people. This domain extension is a good substitution for dot COM, especially if the desired domain with the latter domain extension is not available for registration.
Grabbing a dot NET domain with our firm is as easy as a breeze and takes no more than a couple of minutes, since we work with an ICANN-certified registrar company. You can acquire such a domain for a time interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our company and we will renew it when the transfer process is finalized. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least 60 days old, given that they are not locked and that you have an EPP transfer authorization key – security measures established by the .NET Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily change the WHOIS information of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you don’t want this information to be accessible at all, you can order a Whois Privacy Protection service, so nobody will be able to see your actual contact details.
The .NET top-level domain name extension supports internationalized names, so you can choose if you want to aim at a certain country or territory using a domain name in the local language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
